Forza Horizon 6 Treasure Cars: All 10 Locations
On this page
How do Treasure Cars work?
Treasure Cars are abandoned vehicles hidden around Horizon Japan. Forza.net's starting guide explains that photo clues point to them, and that exploring reveals more clues. Shacknews notes there is no stamp requirement: unlike Barn Finds, every Treasure Car can be collected at any time.
Each clue is a postcard-style picture of the spot, not a search circle. That makes them harder to find than Barn Finds, so the table below gives each location. Drive up to the car to claim it.
Where are all the Treasure Cars?
Locations come from Shacknews' June 2, 2026 guide, with the 2CV location from coverage of the October update. The Forza Horizon 6 map guide explains where each region sits.
| Car | Region | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| BMW M1 | Hokubu | Under the train tracks, overlooking fields |
| Nissan Safari | Ito | Northern point, at the base of a wind turbine at the Ito Wind Farm |
| Dodge Charger R/T (1969) | Minamino | At the golf course, behind the building |
| Ford GT (2005) | Nangan | Lookout point at the south end |
| Mazda RX-7 (1985) | Ohtani | Near a mascot, below a radio tower facing Mt. Fuji |
| Porsche 959 | Shimanoyama | Building cluster on the north side, behind the convenience store |
| Lancia Stratos | Sotoyama | North of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, beside a hotel building |
| Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III GSR (1995) | Takashiro | North of Temple of Nachi Falls, at a rest point at the waterfall's base |
| Nissan Figaro (1991) | Tokyo City | South side, by the water, in a small parking lot |
| Citroën 2CV (1970) | Minamino | Added October 5, 2026; unmarked parking area overlooking the Irabuohashi Bridge, north of the Shirakawa Curves drift zone |
Which Treasure Car should you find first?
Stevivor and other map guides call the Nissan Safari at the Ito Wind Farm the easiest to find, because the turbines are visible from a long way off. The Nissan Figaro in Tokyo City is also quick if you start in the city, which is where the game begins.
Collecting your first Treasure Car unlocks the A Fine Addition To My Collection achievement, and claiming nine unlocks Treasure Hunter, according to the official achievement list. The achievements guide lists both.
Where is the new Citroën 2CV?
Forza.net's Series 6 post says a missing 1970 Citroën 2CV is hidden somewhere in Japan, found by following an in-game photo clue. Traxion's Treasure Car guide places it in Minamino: follow the red dotted road just north of the dirt Shirakawa Curves drift zone, and the car sits in an unmarked parking area overlooking the Irabuohashi Bridge. That location comes from a single guide so far, so check it against the in-game clue.
The 2CV is a permanent Treasure Car, not a Festival Playlist reward, so it will not disappear when Series 6 ends on November 5.
Where is the Dodge Charger in the golf course?
The 1969 Dodge Charger R/T is the Treasure Car that sends many players looking for the golf course. Shacknews places it behind the building at the golf course in Minamino, and Dot Esports identifies the course as Naruo Golf Course, near the centre of Minamino beside the Airfield Trail dirt race. Look for the clubhouse; the car is behind it. The Forza Horizon 6 map guide covers the golf course and nearby landmarks.
Treasure Cars vs Barn Finds vs treasure hunts
| System | How many | Unlock | Guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Treasure Cars | 10 | Available from the start; photo clues | This page |
| Barn Finds | 15 | Discover Japan stamps; search circles | Barn Finds |
| Treasure Hunt | One per week (when scheduled) | Festival Playlist; rewards credits and points | Treasure hunt |
Tips for finding them faster
- Compare the clue picture with landmarks you can see from a distance: wind turbines, radio towers, waterfalls and Mt. Fuji are all used.
- Fast travel to the nearest discovered road; Bonus Boards that reduce fast-travel cost make this cheaper. See the XP boards guide.
- Steam's community guide to all Treasure Car locations includes map screenshots if the text descriptions are not enough.
