Forza Horizon 6 Treasure Hunt This Week: Ito Region
On this page
Where is this week's treasure chest?
The Ito Region Treasure Hunt is the first-week challenge of the Horizon Meets Festival Playlist, live from October 8 to October 15, 2026. Its in-game clue simply reads Follow the Photo Clue to Discover the Treasure!, with a photo of the spot.
Nux Game Guides (published October 9) places the chest on the beach beside Meoto Iwa Rock in southern Ito, next to a small wooden boat by the shoreline. The rock overlooks Legend Island. You can approach from the road near the Sekibe Kaijo Trailblazer or the Oyashirazu Trail.
- Open the Festival Playlist and select the Horizon Meets Summer season.
- Find the Ito Region Treasure Hunt challenge to activate the photo clue.
- Drive or fast travel to the coast road near the Sekibe Kaijo Trailblazer or Oyashirazu Trail.
- Head down to the beach at Meoto Iwa Rock and look for the wooden boat.
- Drive through the treasure chest beside the boat to smash it.
What does it give, and do you need a special car?
The chest pays 100,000 CR and 3 Festival Playlist points toward the Summer season. Any car works: Nux Game Guides lists no class, model or skill requirement for this hunt; finding and smashing the chest is enough.
When does the next treasure hunt start?
The Festival Playlist resets every Thursday at 14:30 UTC, so the next hunt, if the playlist includes one, starts on October 15. That is 7:30 AM PT and 10:30 AM ET while US daylight saving is on. After daylight saving ends (October 25 in the UK, November 1 in the US), the same reset shows an hour earlier on local clocks.
Not every week has a treasure hunt. When one runs, it moves to a new region with a new photo clue, and any chest you did not smash before the reset is gone. The weekly challenge guide lists the rest of this week's tasks.
Past treasure hunts
Earlier hunts have ended, but they show the pattern: each one is in a single named region, usually by a landmark on the photo clue.
| Series and week | Dates | Region | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Series 6 Horizon Meets, Week 1 (Summer) | Oct 8 – Oct 15, 2026 | Ito (Meoto Iwa Rock) | Live now |
| Series 5 British Automotive, Week 4 | Oct 1 – Oct 8, 2026 | Nangan | Ended |
| Series 5 British Automotive, Week 3 | Sep 24 – Oct 1, 2026 | Shimanoyama | Ended |
| Series 4, Week 4 | Sep 3 – Sep 10, 2026 | Tokyo City | Ended |
How to find any treasure chest faster
- Read the region name first. The hunt title always names it, which cuts the search to one area of the Forza Horizon 6 map.
- Match the clue photo to big landmarks: coastal rocks, bridges, towers and temples are typical.
- Fast travel to the nearest road. Smashing fast-travel boards makes this cheaper; see the XP boards guide.
Treasure hunt or Treasure Car?
These are different systems. The weekly treasure hunt is a Festival Playlist challenge that pays credits and points, then disappears. Treasure Cars are ten permanent hidden cars, including the new 1970 Citroën 2CV. If you searched for treasure car locations, go to the Treasure Cars guide.
What else is in this week's playlist?
The #LightLunch photo challenge asks for an Eclectic Domestic car at the 7-Eleven car meet in Nangan and unlocks the 7-Eleven Clerk Uniform. The 7-Eleven location guide has the steps. The week's reward car is the 2000 Honda Prelude Type SH at 20 points.
