The official launch figure is more than 550 cars. Steam's description says you explore Japan in over 550 real-world cars, and The Drive's first look used the same number. KeenGamer calls it the largest day-one roster in Horizon history.

Fan counts are higher because they include cars that arrived after launch or sit outside the Autoshow. GTPlanet's master list counts 607 cars from 86 brands, and ForzaGarage lists 622 from 87 manufacturers. Pre-launch articles quoting 392 cars, such as GamesRadar's early list, only covered the cars revealed before release.

How do you get cars in Forza Horizon 6?

  • Autoshow: buy most cars outright with credits.
  • Aftermarket Cars: pre-modified cars for sale around the map. Forza.net says exploring reveals more of them; the 7-Eleven meet currently sells discounted ones, including the 2008 Mazda Furai, 1989 Toyota MR2 SC and the Wheelspin-exclusive 1998 Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR.
  • Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins: random rewards, including some cars you cannot buy at the Autoshow.
  • Festival Playlist: weekly and series reward cars, such as the 2025 BMW M4 CS in Series 6.
  • Treasure Cars: hidden on the map with photo clues. See the Treasure Cars guide.
  • Barn Finds: unlocked by Discover Japan stamps. See the Barn Finds guide.
  • Auction House and Car Meets: buy from other players, or buy a stock copy of a car you see at a Car Meet.
  • Car Pass and DLC packs: weekly paid deliveries; see the DLC guide.

Are specific cars in the game?

These are the cars players most often ask about, with how they show up according to the sources above. Prices are Autoshow prices where a source gives one.

Which cars did recent series add?

Series 5, British Automotive, focused on British makes, which is why searches for UK cars spiked in September; its #BambooPerfect photo challenge, for example, asked for any McLaren. Series 6, Horizon Meets, added three cars new to Horizon: the 2025 BMW M4 CS, 1968 Holden Monaro GTS 327 and 2000 Honda Prelude Type SH.

Series 6 also brought back the 2018 DeBerti Ford Mustang GT and 2004 Saleen S7, and its Series History Reward is the 1973 Lamborghini Espada 400 GT at 1,100 points. The weekly challenge guide shows which week each reward is live.

What is the most expensive car?

No source we checked publishes a verified Autoshow price ranking, so the single most expensive car is still to be confirmed. The highest prices players report come from the Auction House, where rare Forza Edition and Wheelspin-only cars trade for millions of credits; Red Bull notes the GT-R Black Edition Forza Edition often sells for millions. The 120 million credit Lamborghini that circulates in searches is not backed by any source we found.

For the fastest cars rather than the priciest, see the fastest car rankings.

Where is the full searchable car list?

The most complete public lists are GTPlanet's master car list and ForzaGarage, both maintained by fans and updated with each series. For buying advice by class, the best car guide uses leaderboard data rather than spec sheets.
