Forza Horizon 6 Best Car by Class: S2, S1, A and Dirt

What does the leaderboard data say?

Forza.guide ranks cars by class and track type using the online Rivals leaderboards, refreshed each season. That makes it the most objective source available, because it reflects what the fastest players actually drive rather than spec sheets. Its road-track leaders are below.

The pattern is clear: light, sharp-handling cars win. Japan's tight touge roads and elevation changes reward braking and cornering over raw top speed, which is why a 1991 Honda Beat appears in the A-class top three.

Why do guides disagree about S1?

S1 is the most contested class. FH6Wiki calls the Ferrari SF90 Stradale the S1 meta king. Timesaver recommends the Lamborghini Huracán EVO as the one car that wins most S1 events. Other guides name the 2023 Porsche 911 Turbo S, and community RWD builds lean on the McLaren 620R and Huracán STO.

The leaderboard pick, the 2022 Acura NSX, has a practical advantage: it is a free wristband reward. If you do not want to spend credits, start there.

If you only buy one car per class

• S2: Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 for an all-rounder, per one S2 guide, or the leaderboard's Mazda Furai. The Furai is currently sold at a discount at the 7-Eleven meet; see the 7-Eleven location.
• S1: Acura NSX (2022) for leaderboard pace and zero cost, or the Huracán EVO for an easy all-rounder.
• A: Ford GT (2005). One guide notes it gains a big launch advantage after an AWD conversion.
• Dirt S2: Subaru Vivio Forza Edition, the leaderboard's top dirt car.
• Free early S1: the 2018 Subaru WRX STI ARX Supercar, won from the Launch Control Horizon Rush event.

What is the best off-road car?

For dirt and cross-country racing, the leaderboard's dirt picks are the strongest data: Subaru Vivio Forza Edition, 1999 Dodge Viper Forza Edition and Ford RS200 in S2. One S2 guide names the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR as its best dirt answer.

For off-road Speed Traps and Danger Signs, top speed and stability matter more than cornering. The fastest car page covers Speed Trap picks.

Which tier lists should you be careful with?

Some lists were written before launch from confirmed car lists and preview data, and they do not reflect the final handling model. Armadaboost's picks of the Porsche 911 GT1 for S1 and Jaguar XJ220 for A are an example dated to April 2026 previews.

Class bands also changed. Timesaver points out that FH6's class letters do not map exactly to Forza Horizon 5's PI ranges, so go by the class letter shown in your game rather than an old PI number.

Does tuning matter more than the car?

Often, yes. Many leaderboard cars are upgraded into their class with specific builds, and the same car can be mid-table on a stock tune. Download a proven tune with a share code, or build one with a calculator. The tuning calculator guide explains share codes and ForzaTune.
