Forza Horizon 6 Itasha: Liveries, Window Decals and Bans
On this page
Are itasha liveries allowed in Forza Horizon 6?
Yes, with limits. Forza Support's livery rule, as quoted in coverage of the moderation dispute, says itasha-style designs are permitted, but explicit sexual content and sexually suggestive content are forbidden. Its examples of suggestive content include provocative poses, related gestures and facial expressions, and attention to specific body parts.
There is no separate itasha mode. Anime wraps are built in the normal livery editor from vinyl shapes, and shared through the in-game design catalogue like any other livery.
What is new in the Forza Horizon 6 livery editor?
- Window decals: for the first time in the series, you can place designs on windows. GamingBolt reports every car model had to be reworked to support it, and Playground says designs can range from a windscreen sun strip to wraps spanning every window.
- Window opacity: decals and liveries on glass can be made partly transparent.
- Coverage: front windscreen, rear glass, quarter windows and side windows, through Designs & Paints, then Apply Decals & Vinyls.
- More body kits and a larger wheel collection, per Red Bull's comparison with Forza Horizon 5.
Can you import designs or upload your own images?
Because car geometry changed, only vinyl groups can be imported at launch, not full liveries; you can bring vinyl groups over from Forza Horizon 5 or Forza Motorsport. No official source confirms uploading external image files, so importing a picture directly is still to be confirmed. Anime art still has to be layered by hand or imported as an existing vinyl group.
Sharing works through the in-game catalogue, and user-made content is cross-platform, so PS5 players will see shared designs from January 2027.
Why were itasha creators banned?
Over the summer, TheGamer reported that well-known itasha creators Kamikaze and Kracsa had their liveries removed from the catalogue after mass reporting by other players. Japanese site AUTOMATON reported that several itasha artists began deleting their work and stopped publishing.
In late September 2026, Out of Games and other outlets covered a wider wave of bans in Japan. Some players said entire accounts were banned over reports flagging material harmful to children; others said unfinished designs, sketched outlines and even shared in-game photos of itasha cars triggered action. These are player reports; Playground has not published case-by-case details.
What did Playground change?
If you share anime designs, read the Code of Conduct's section on inappropriate user-made content first. Even designs that are not explicit have been flagged after mass reports.
- Warnings for low-severity first-time violations.
- New violation categories replacing the old three-strike system.
- Suspensions for low-severity offences now start at one day.
- An updated Forza Code of Conduct and a published Q&A.
Which wheels look good on an RX-7 or a 959?
Wheel choice is personal and no guide we checked ranks wheels for specific cars, so there is no sourced answer to give here. The practical tip is to browse shared designs for the car: Car Meets let you inspect other players' builds up close and download their tunes, which shows which wheels the community uses. See the crossplay page for how Car Meets work.
Sharing liveries safely
- Keep characters fully clothed and in neutral poses; the rule targets suggestive framing, not anime as a style.
- Do not share work-in-progress designs publicly; players have reported action on sketches.
- If you receive a ban you believe is wrong, use Forza's ban history and official support to appeal. The cheats and bans page explains how appeals work.
