What about Spotify, SimHub and telemetry tools?
A Spotify mod lets you play your own music inside the game with dynamic audio, and VPEsports reports no bans tied to it; the official stations are listed on the soundtrack page. SimHub and telemetry apps read the game's data output for dashboards and wheel displays rather than changing the game; they are widely used with Forza titles, but whether FH6 exposes the same telemetry feature as earlier games is still to be confirmed. Cluster mods and GitHub tools such as all-in-one mod managers range from harmless to high-risk depending on whether they touch memory or saves.
Can you get banned for using mods?
Officially, modifying game files is against the rules. In practice, VPEsports rates ReShade and similar shaders as minimal risk and found no reports of bans for cosmetic plugins, noting that past Forza titles did not punish cosmetic PC mods en masse. A Steam user who used Revolusound in Forza Horizon 5 said they played offline and never received a warning.
Playground does act on tampering. Before launch it took strict enforcement action, including franchise-wide bans, against players using a leaked build, and IG News reported a player banned until the year 9999 with modding cited.

How do you mod more safely?
- Back up the original game files you replace and your save folder; the save file guide has the paths.
- Prefer ReShade-style mods that do not replace game files.
- Test offline or in Solo, which is the common advice for sound and UI mods.
- Never use anything that changes credits, XP, Wheelspins or saves while online.
- Download only from the mod's Nexus page, not from re-upload sites.
Are there mods on Xbox or PS5?
