What NVIDIA features does Forza Horizon 6 officially support?

At launch, NVIDIA's article said all GeForce RTX players can use DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution to accelerate the game's ray-traced visuals, and RTX 50 owners can use DLSS Multi Frame Generation. RTX 50 owners can also switch to DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation at up to 6X through the NVIDIA app.

Playground's PC FAQ, as summarised by Wccftech, also lists DLSS Frame Generation on RTX 40 and newer, DLAA and NVIDIA Reflex, plus AMD FSR 4 or 3 and Intel XeSS 2.1. None of these sources mention DLSS 5.

How are people running DLSS 5?

Through mods. TPose Gaming's RTX 5070 test describes an experimental DLSS 5 build added through modified ReShade tools and a preliminary DLSS 5 neural-rendering library. Separately, a Nexus Mods file replaces the game's older NVIDIA Streamline DLLs with newer binaries; its changelog says version 2.13.1 added DLSS 5 support for RTX 20, 30, 40 and 50 cards.

Neither is endorsed by Playground or NVIDIA. If a guide tells you to pick DLSS 5 or a neural rendering toggle in the game's own menu, that option does not exist in the official game; one such guide comes from a credit-selling site, and no other source backs it up.

How much does DLSS 5 cost in performance?

A lot. GameGPU reported on August 29, 2026 that in night scenes and city areas on an RTX 5070, the frame rate without frame generation fell from 151 fps to 45 or 46 fps, a loss of roughly 50 to 70 percent. Testers also saw image instability, slight flickering and problems freeing video memory when switching settings.

Visually, testers say car paint reflections look more realistic, artificial light scatters more convincingly and environment saturation increases. Many players argue the base game already looks detailed enough that the cost is not worth it in the mod's current state.

Is a DLSS 5 mod safe to use?

It changes game files, which Forza's rules do not allow, even though VPEsports found no reported bans for graphics-only mods. Playground has shown it will act on unauthorised modding: before launch, a player using a leaked build received a ban until the year 9999, according to The Escapist and IG News. If you experiment, back up the original DLLs and your save first, and consider playing offline. The mods page separates lower-risk and higher-risk mods.

Other unofficial frame-generation (MFG) mods carry the same risk.

What should you use instead?

• RTX 50: DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution plus Multi Frame Generation through the official settings.
• RTX 40: DLSS Super Resolution plus Frame Generation.
• RTX 20 and 30: DLSS Super Resolution, or DLAA if you have headroom.
