The update went live on October 5 at 5:00 PM UTC on all three. Version strings that circulate on download sites, such as v440.853, do not match Playground's numbering; check the in-game version against the table instead.

What did the Series 6 update add?

• More than 50 engine swaps, including a racing V12 for cars such as the 2010 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster, 2014 Ferrari FXX K and 2018 Ferrari FXX-K Evo.
• Horizon Play: up to 200 additional levels, with 20 new player badges (one per 10 levels); XP beyond level 100 counts toward the new ranks.
• Spec Racing: 10 more stock cars, including the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, Mazda Furai, Ferrari F40, Saleen S7 LM and Audi R8 Coupé V10 GT RWD. Three DLC cars are playable there without owning their packs.

• Tyre scrub audio now plays when you turn the wheels while stationary.
• Photographing Temple of Nachi Falls now awards points in the Collection Journal's Photography section.
• Drift Attack score can no longer be built up by fast travelling or rewinding.

What rolls out after the patch?

The Horizon Meets Festival Playlist runs from October 8 to November 5, 2026, with reward cars including the 2025 BMW M4 CS. Car Pass owners get one car per Thursday: the 1972 Datsun 240Z #5 Rallye (October 8), 2024 Ferrari Purosangue (October 15), 1990 Eunos Cosmo (October 22) and 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4Matic+ (October 29). Weekly details are in the weekly challenge guide.

When were earlier updates?

Forza Support's Release Notes and Known Issues section lists earlier notes dated July 13, July 20, August 10, August 24 and September 7, 2026. Each monthly series has brought a new Festival Playlist theme; Series 5 was British Automotive.

What is the next update?

Forza.net says the next update is themed around City Life and adds two permanent Tokyo race routes, three new-to-Horizon Festival Playlist cars and a new EventLab prop pack. No date has been announced; based on the series rhythm it would follow Horizon Meets, which ends November 5.

Further out, a free content update for all players launches alongside the PS5 version and Expansion 1 in January 2027. See the DLC guide and the developer statement for context.

How do you install the latest update?
