Forza Horizon 6 Horizon Rush: Courses, Stars and Unlocks

What is Horizon Rush?
OverTake describes Rush as a mix of Gymkhana-style obstacle videos and the Showcase events that have long been part of Forza Horizon. Instead of a normal road loop, each course threads through a location under cranes, over container stacks, off ramps and through tight gaps, with smashable billboards and moving obstacles.
The course is split into sectors. Your time shows at every sector, so you know whether you are ahead or behind pace before the finish, and each run is graded with up to three stars and posted to leaderboards.
Why did Playground add it?
Playground noticed that most players never returned to Showcase events after finishing them once, so Rush is designed to be replayed for better times. OverTake also reports that the studio built the Rush courses first and then constructed the surrounding environments around them.
Rush events replace the slots previously used for car-versus-vehicle events. They sit alongside two Showcases, one of which pits a Toyota GR GT against a giant robot.
Which Horizon Rush courses are there?
OverTake says the courses feature huge jumps, snaking routes, smashable billboards and moving obstacles such as lifting container handlers and swinging cranes.
Launch Control is also where guides say you can win the 2018 Subaru WRX STI ARX Supercar, a free S1 car recommended in the best car guide.
| Event | Location |
|---|---|
| Pier Pressure | Tokyo City Docks |
| Off Piste | Sotoyama Ski Resort |
| Launch Control | Irokawa Space Center |
How do you unlock Horizon Rush events?
Play the career. Rush courses become available as you progress through the Horizon Festival and earn new wristbands, and they appear as green icons on the map. Forza.net's starting guide notes you can only use C-class cars at events until you earn the Yellow Wristband, so the first wristband is the first gate.
Can you play Horizon Rush with friends?
Sources disagree. One wiki says Rush supports co-op and competitive multiplayer for up to 12 players. A player guide says you can run it solo or with one other player and that the clock is the real opponent either way. Until Playground documents it, the exact multiplayer setup is still to be confirmed.
Does Horizon Rush appear in the Festival Playlist?
Yes. Rush events show up as daily and seasonal challenges. One example was the Rush Hour challenge in an Autumn Festival Playlist, which paid 5,000 credits and a Forzathon Point for simply finishing a Horizon Rush event. The weekly challenge guide shows what is live now.
Tips for three stars
- Use the sector splits: if one sector is consistently slow, practise that section rather than the whole run.
- Big jumps reward stable cars. The Danger Signs guide covers jump technique that also applies to Launch Control.
- Ignore the guide that calls Horizon Rush a daily streak or multiplier system. Every other source, including player discussions on Steam, describes timed obstacle courses.
