Forza Horizon 6 Ruriko-ji Temple Location and Routes
On this page
Where is Ruriko-ji Temple in Forza Horizon 6?
The temple sits in the northwest corner of Minamino, just south of the farms along the top of that region. Traxion describes Minamino as the central area of the map. The in-game temple is based on the real Rurikō-ji in Yamaguchi, known for its five-storey pagoda.
It is easy to miss. Few races or challenges start near it, so most players only pass by when a photo challenge sends them there. Shirakawa-go lies to the southeast, which makes the two easy to visit on one trip.
What is the fastest way to get there?
Three routes appear in guides. Pick whichever starting point you have already discovered.
| Start | Route | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Naruo Golf Course | Follow the off-road trail on the west side of the course all the way up until you reach the temple | Polygon-credited guide |
| Minamino Curve Speed Zone | Fast travel there, turn around and drive north, turn left at the first intersection; the temple is on your left | Game Rant |
| Road north of the temple | Fast travel to the road just north of the landmark; you arrive in front of the entrance | Traxion |
Where is Naruo Golf Course?
Dot Esports places Naruo Golf Course near the centre of Minamino, beside the Airfield Trail dirt race, with the Naruo Cross Country circuit running through it. It has no large landmark icon, so look for fairways and sand traps when zoomed in. The 1969 Dodge Charger R/T Treasure Car is behind the clubhouse, so you can collect it on the way.
How do you get the Discover Japan points?
Photograph the temple itself, not the pagoda beside it. Game Rant notes that a photo of the pagoda does not count, while the temple photo earns 100 Discover Japan points, which feed the stamp progression that unlocks Barn Finds and houses.
- Park in front of the main temple building.
- Open Photo Mode with Up on the D-pad.
- Frame the temple, not the pagoda, and take the photo (A on an Xbox controller, per Traxion).
How did #TempleVantage work?
#TempleVantage was the Spring week photo challenge in Series 5, British Automotive. It required a photo of the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 at Ruriko-ji Temple. Game Rant bought the DB5 from the Autoshow for 475,000 credits; it was also available through the Aston Martin Nights seasonal championship that week. The challenge has ended, but the DB5 remains an Autoshow car.
