Forza Horizon 6 Shirakawa-go Location and Photo Spot

Where is Shirakawa-go in Forza Horizon 6?

Shirakawa-go is a village of thatched-roof farmhouses in the northern part of Minamino, modelled on the real UNESCO-listed village in Gifu. Game Rant describes a blue-and-white circular map marker labelled Shirakawa-go with an arrow pointing right.

The marker is the source of most confusion. It sits on the western bank of the river, among dirt tracks and mountain trails. The village the game actually recognises is across the river to the east. Map guides also place it directly northwest of downtown Tokyo and just southeast of Ruriko-ji Temple.

How do you get to Shirakawa-go?

  1. Fast travel to Shirakawa Circuit or to the Hokubu and Minamino Day Trip headquarters if you have discovered them; both are good starting points.
  2. If you are lost, find Ruriko-ji Temple first, then head southeast toward the river.
  3. Cross the bridge to the eastern bank.
  4. Drive into the paved village centre among the thatched-roof houses. The Shirakawa-go Speed Trap and the main sign are nearby reference points.

How do you complete #RuralLotus?

#RuralLotus was the Autumn week photo challenge in Series 5, British Automotive. It asked for a photo of any Lotus at Shirakawa-go and paid two seasonal points plus the Legendary Sea of Thieves Theme car horn, according to Game Rant. The week has ended, but the photo rules apply to any challenge set here.

  1. Bring any Lotus; no specific model was required.
  2. Do not take the photo on the dirt tracks on the western bank. The challenge does not register there.
  3. Cross the bridge and park in the paved village centre.
  4. Open Photo Mode with Up on the D-pad and frame the car. Two check marks confirm the car type and the location.
  5. Only one check mark? Drive away from the western off-road section, return to the village and retake the photo with the whole car visible.

Is there a Danger Sign at Shirakawa-go?

Players search for a Shirakawa-go Danger Sign, but none of the guides we checked list one by that name; the area's PR stunt mentioned in guides is the Shirakawa-go Speed Trap. Danger Sign names and positions are covered on the Danger Signs page, which includes the longest jump in the game at the Tokyo City Lookout.

Will Shirakawa-go be used again?

Photo challenges rotate every Thursday at 14:30 UTC, and Playground has not published future challenge locations. The village is permanent, so the route above stays valid. The weekly challenge guide lists what is live in the current Horizon Meets series.
