Forza Horizon 6 Game Pass: Tiers, Cloud and Premium Upgrade

Which Game Pass tiers include Forza Horizon 6?

Windows Central and Xbox's own listing confirm that the Standard Edition joined Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on launch day. Ultimate covers Xbox Series X|S, the Xbox app on PC and cloud streaming. PC Game Pass covers the Xbox app on Windows only.

Whether the lower console tiers include it is less clear. One cloud-tracking site says Essential and Premium members can stream it if they own the game, but Microsoft has not confirmed that, so check the Game Pass app before subscribing to a cheaper tier.

What does Game Pass not include?

Game Pass gives you the Standard Edition only. The Car Pass, VIP Membership, Welcome Pack, Time Attack and Italian Passion car packs and both expansions are not part of the subscription.

To get them, buy the Premium Upgrade for $59.99. It adds every Premium extra on top of Game Pass access, but it does not include the base game, so you still need Game Pass or your own copy to play. Individual items such as the $29.99 Car Pass and $19.99 VIP are sold separately too. The price and editions page compares everything.

Is Forza Horizon 6 free?

No. There is no free-to-play version and no demo. The only legitimate way to play without buying the game is a Game Pass subscription. Searches for a free Forza Horizon 6 download lead to cracked copies, and Playground has answered leaked builds with permanent account and hardware bans; see the download page for details.

Searches for a Premium Upgrade code with Game Pass usually point to the same Premium Upgrade sold on the Microsoft Store and Steam; there is no free upgrade code.

How good is Forza Horizon 6 on Xbox Cloud Gaming?

Cloud streaming runs at up to 1440p and 60fps, and allthings.how notes that the cloud version supports cloud saves, cross-play and cross-save. It is the only way to play on Xbox One, phones, tablets and low-end laptops.

Input delay and image quality depend on your connection. A wired connection or 5 GHz Wi-Fi helps, and a controller is strongly recommended. For local play on console, the Forza Horizon 6 Xbox page lists Series X|S modes.

What happens to your progress if Game Pass ends?

Your save is stored on your Microsoft account, not in the subscription. If you buy the game later, on Xbox, the Microsoft Store or Steam, you pick up where you left off. Cross-save also means a Game Pass save can continue on PS5 from January 26, 2027 once you buy the PS5 version and sign in with the same Microsoft account. The crossplay page covers account linking.

Game Pass or Steam on PC?

PC Game Pass runs the Xbox app version, which shares saves with Xbox consoles through Play Anywhere. The Steam version is a separate purchase that does not include Play Anywhere, but it still supports cross-save once linked to a Microsoft account.

Beebom reported that crossplay with Steam becomes unavailable with the day-one Game Pass version. No other outlet repeats that claim, and Playground's FAQ describes crossplay across Xbox, the Xbox app, PS5 and Steam, so treat it as unconfirmed.
